SEVER—In Vernon Springs township, April 10, 1897, Josephine Sever aged 32 years 5 months and 1 day. Deceased was born in Schoharie county, New York, Nov. 9, 1864, and came West with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter DeNoyelles and their family. The 22 of December 1883, she was united in marriage with George Sever. Five children were born to them, who with husband, father, brother, and sister, are left to mourn their loss. She had been an invalid for the past two years, bearing the illness without a murmur of complaint, but strove heroically to sustain life by her own efforts, conscious and clear of mind to the last. Her remains were laid to rest in the New Oregon cemetery.
