Glenn Vernon Jackson, age 85, formerly of Cresco, died June 29, 2017 in Burns, Oregon.

Glenn was born on September 29, 1931 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Fredrick Jackson and Anna Storey. He married Dona Jean Young on June 19, 1953 in Reno, Nevada. He served in the United States Marine Corps from July 1949 until February 1969. He and Dona moved to Cresco upon his discharge from the Marine Corps. He worked for the Howard County Sheriff’s Office from December 1974 to February 1979 when they moved to Springfield, Oregon. They later moved back to Cresco where he worked for Donaldson Company until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and was an avid reader. He followed football and was a San Francisco 49er’s fan.

He is survived by three daughters: Lisa (Mark) Baethke of Zumbrota, Minnesota, Kelly (Stephanie Wallace) Jackson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Glenda (Brian) Rudolph of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; a son, Robert Jackson of Klamath Falls, Oregon; five grandchildren: Hiliary, Whitney, Kyra, Jackson and Dawson; 5 great-grandchildren: Madeline, Avery, Leona, Garrison and Henry; one sister, Edina Walker of Eugene, Oregon, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters, and his wife, Dona.
