Gordon Oliver Watros, 83, of Cresco, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, Iowa. Gordon was born on April 22, 1928 in Albert Lea, MN. Gordon proudly served his country during the Korean War in the Army. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Herold on November 13, 1954. Gordon served in law enforcement for nearly 30 years. After retirement, Gordon moved to Clear Lake, where he volunteered as a probation officer through AARP. He is survived by his son, Lon Watros, daughters, Mary (Steve) Mrdjenovich, Susann Carr, Cynthia (Jim) Peterson, Janenne (Tim) O’Donnell, Jennifer (Jeff) Ginapp, 15 grandchildren, Nicole (Matt), Heather (Jed), Jessica (Tom), Justin, Christopher, Ryan (Kayla), Andrew, Jeremy (Erin), Ashley (Tony), Cody, Megan, Zachary (Liz), Maranda, Leah, Jake (Dana), and 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, his sister Joyce, and his parents.

Cemetery:
Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA.
