Mrs. M. L. McNally was given her final resting place in St. Joseph’s cemetery at Cresco on Monday morning, the funeral train leaving here at 9 o’clock, many from this place as well as a number from Cresco joining the procession.
Numerous Cresco friends came even before her body had arrived Saturday to pay their last respects to the deceased. On every hand was shown the sorrow into which the whole community was plunged, and their sincere expressions of sympathy were tendered the bereaved family in their loss.
For sixteen years has the family lived in this community, having moved here in 1880.
Miss Anna Farrell was born April 15, 1856, at Crestline, Ohio, and was one of a family of four children. When she was but two years of age her family removed to Chickasaw county, where she grew to womanhood.’ On the second day of December, 1876, she was given in marriage to M. L. McNally, and four children ranging from 18 to 9 years of age have blessed their union.
Mrs. McNally was a kind friend and neighbor, whom to know was to admire. Possessed of those womanly traits which bring their owner into closer touch with all, she so won the esteem and kindest wishes of all that the mourning at her death was general.
Besides her husband and children, she yet leaves as close relatives, her father and mother, two brothers and a sister, Mrs. Egan, of Sterling, Ill., all of whom were present at her funeral.
In her death we all lose a valued and trusted friend, but to those who claim the greater-loss anti sorrow we extend heartfelt expressions of sympathy.
