Janet Mae Hayek, 48, of Cresco, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at her home.

Janet was born on May 1, 1963 in Cresco, IA to Adolph and Delores (Hosting) Hayek. She attended Notre Dame High School, and received her nursing degree from N.I.C.C. She worked at the Aase Haugen Home, the Howard County Hospital, the New Hampton Rehabilitation Center, and most recently worked at the Harmony Health Care Center in Harmony, MN.

She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, the Hospital Auxiliary, and was also a member of the "Nashville Girls". She enjoyed going out to eat with friends, canoeing, camping, playing pool, golfing, and most of all, enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher (Jessi) Weigert and Nicholas Wiegert, one daughter Destiny Hodges, two grandchildren, Mason and Autumn Weigert, 10 siblings, Adolph, Jr., JoAnn (Jerry) Andera, Joseph (Char) Hayek, Jerome Hayek, Julius (Arlis) Hayek, Joyce (Gene) Kapler, Jaci, Jean, Jane (Cal) Steffen, and Julie, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, John, James, and Jay, and a niece Susan Baldwin.

Calvary Cemetery in Cresco, Iowa

Visitation:
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, IA where there will be a 5 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m scripture service.

Service:
It was Janet's wishes to be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
