Donald Lundak, 84, of Cresco, IA passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, IA.

Donald was born on August 17, 1926 in Cresco, Iowa, the son of William and Albina (Sobolik) Lundak. He graduated from Cresco High School. After graduation, Donald served in the United States Army. Following his Honorable Discharge from the military, he returned home to farm with his parents. He continued to farm there until his retirement, and was still part of the farm until entering the Cresco Care Center in July of 2010. His health forced him to enter the Howard County Residential Care Facility in September of 2009, followed by the Cresco Care Center.

He enjoyed reading, visiting and socializing with friends, animals, and also played the accordion. He was a member of the American Legion, and the First Congregational Church in Cresco.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by several cousins, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Congregational Church or the New Oregon Cemetery, both in Cresco, IA.

Burial will be in New Oregon Cemetery in rural Cresco, IA.

Visitation:
Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Cresco, IA.
