Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Gunderson mourn the loss of their four months old son, who passed away Monday, Sept. 21. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.

Lloyd Harlan, youngest son of Mr, and Mrs. Theodore Gunderson was born May 13, 1914, and died at his home 4-1/2 miles north of Cresco, Monday evening. Sept. 21, age 4 months and 8 days. How tenderly did they care for the little sufferer during his sickness, but all that willing hand and loving hearts could do was of no avail, and in the silence of the midnight hour they seemed to hear the gentle voice of the Saviour, “Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven," and that precious little life, the very sunshine of their home was brought to a close.
Why he should have been taken from us so soon we cannot understand, but He who sent the solitary reaper to ebb away this young life understandeth the secret of all things mysterious.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jordahl, of Ridgeway at the Norwegian Luther in church at Cresco and he was laid to rest in Oak Lawn cemetery. The grief stricken parents have the sympathy of the entire community in this hour of sorrow.
This precious flower to us was given. To bud on earth and bloom in heaven.
