Death of Mrs. Gammons.
Mrs. John Gammons passed away at about 12:30 Tuesday afternoon after an illness from heart trouble extending over several years, during all the time of which she made a brave and patient fight to remain with her loved ones.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at the M. E. church.
The husband and son have the sincere sympathy of all in their deep grief.

Gammons.
Carrie Belle Studebaker was born near Elkport, Iowa, August 2nd. 1862, and departed this life at Cresco, Iowa, June 30th, 1914,
Born with a Christian heritage, she was converted in girlhood and united with the Methodist Episcopal church. She taught school for a time and on September 22nd, 1886, was united in marriage to Rev. John Gammons. She cheerfully assumed the arduous duties of a minister’s wife, sharing with her husband at all times, the cares and responsibilities incident to the life of a pastor.
Firm as a rock in her convictions of the right, inflexible as steel in all the guiding principles of her life, with a faith in God which never faltered, and a soul full of love for all whom she knew, her work in life was crowned with unselfish zeal for the upbuilding of God's kingdom on earth. . . .
She leaves to miss her presence, her husband and son Earl H., a brother T. H. Studebaker, of Toledo, Iowa, besides other relatives among whom is Mrs. Earl Henry of this city.
