Death of a Pioneer.
A. J. Yarrington, one of Howard county’s pioneers, died last Thursday, aged 85 years and was buried on Friday last in New Oregon cemetery. Mr. Yarrington was one of the old residents of the county, coming to New Oregon in the late 50’s and residing in that township continuously until within a few months. He was honored by his fellow citizens with several township offices, and while like all mankind, he had his faults, yet he was ever honest and no truth or confidence reposed in him was ever violated.
