Saturday morning, March 14th, this vicinity received the sad news that John Voiek had passed away at his home near Protivin after a short illness.
The funeral of John Voiek took place at Protivin Tuesday March 17, at the Holy Trinity church, and the remains laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. Rudolph Lakomy celebrating Requiem High Mass. Those from a distance who attended the funeral of their brother and brother-in-law were Frank Voiek, of Lidgerwood, N. D., and Mr. and Mrs. John Caupoch, of Grafton, N. D.
