HUNTER.
Margaret Jeffers was born August 27, 1846, in Clark County, Illinois. Her parents moved with their family to Winnebago County Illinois, March, 1847; then to Howard County, Iowa, November. 1855. She was united in marriage to William B. Hunter. July, 25, 1878. She, with her family, went to Rapid City several years ago. She died at her home, 209 Boston Avenue, Rapid City, S. D., February 1, 1914. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hunter leaves five children to mourn the loss of a loving mother, Howard, Ralph C., Mrs. Mike Dougherty, Miss Annie, of Rapid City, and Mrs. Joe Culbert, of Muscoda, Wis. One son, Edgar, died at Kendallville, Iowa, May, 1900, aged about 15. She also leaves one brother, Charles Jeffers, of Granger, Minnesota, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Clark, of Longmont, Colorado, Mrs. D. D. Hunter, of Cresco, Iowa, and seven grandchildren. The funeral services were at the home in Rapid City.
