Accident Results in Death

John Rutsch, Jr., died at Mercy hospital yesterday morning as the result of a wood saw accident on Tuesday afternoon.
He was at work at John Gerber's place in Albion township and was feeding a log to a circle saw, pulling it toward him when he slipped and thrust a leg against the saw, which cut a gash above the knee so deep that the bone was nearly severed by the saw. Physicians were called and a temporary dressing made so that he might be brought to the hospital. As no main artery had been severed, it was thought that, barring possible infection, he would recover, but the nervous shock was too great and after suffering much pain he passed away.
He resided with his wife on the old James Nichols farm in Albion, having been married nearly a year, and was 28 years of age.
The funeral will take place Sunday at 11 o’clock at the German Lutheran church.
