Alton D. Hildahl, age 67, passed away at Fayetteville, North Carolina on Feb. 15, 2017.
Alton was born May 11, 1949 in Elma, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Cora (Johnson) Hildahl. He graduated from Cresco High School in 1968 and from N.I.C.C. in Mason City in 1970. Later that year he enlisted in the Army.
On May 18, 1974 he married Annie Wagner of Maryland. After 20 years of military service he and Annie continued to live in their home in Spring Lake, N.C. Annie died July 9, 2016.
Alton is survived by siblings: Stanley (Gail) Hildahl of Hemet, Calif., Arlo (LaVonne) Hildahl of Marshalltown, Iowa, Rose (Richard) Feenstra of Cresco, Iowa, Janice (Joel) Salazar of Cleburne, Texas, and stepson: Bobby Wagner of Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie; and two brothers: Joseph and Casper.
