Richard A. Yamry, age 64 of Elma, IA formerly of Minneapolis, MN passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home.

Services for Richard are set for 10:05 AM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Bloomington, MN. Richard Allen was born on December 2, 1952 to Alois and Betty (Van Scoik) Yamry in St. Cloud, MN. He attended Marshall High School in Minneapolis, MN until he entered the US Army on December 1, 1970. Richard served his country until his honorable discharge on December 13, 1977. He met and began his life with his loving wife, Gail Isensee in 1985. Together, they made their home in Minneapolis where they raised their family. Richard and Gail retired to Elma, IA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on computers and “putzing” around. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his mother, Betty Yamry of Royalton, MN; his children, Peter (Cori) Yamry, Scott (Stephanie) Isensee both of Farmington, MN; his siblings, Elaine Williams of Little Falls, MN, LuAnn (Michael) Cosgrove of Minneapolis, MN, Steven (Karen) Yamry of St. Cloud, MN and Cari (Kevin) Barker of Randall, MN; his grandchildren, Breanna, Trevor and Brett and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alois Yamry; his loving wife, Gail Yamry and his brother, Ronald Yamry.
