Patricia "Patsy" (Gasser) Borgan, age 86 of Lime Springs, Iowa passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco. There will be no services.

Patricia Gasser was born January 10, 1930 In Lime Springs to Omer and Ardath (Eaton) Gasser. Patsy graduated from Lime Springs High School in 1949 and later from Pitze's Beauty School in Waterloo. Patsy worked at Beauty Shops in Lime Springs and in Colorado Springs, Colorado while her husband, Gaylord was stationed there with the Military. Patricia married Gaylord Borgan on February 1, 1951 at the Saetersdal Lutheran Church. Patsy was a faithful, lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Lime Springs. She was active in the UMW and Women's circles, as well as the Lime Springs Auxiliary Unit 545 of the American Legion. She and Gaylord farmed for many years in the Lime Springs area, following retirement they purchased a home in Lime Springs.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Gaylord of Lime Springs; four children: Judy (Patrick) Weiss of Alma, Wisconsin, Terry Borgan of Auburn, Nebraska, Rodney (Rose) Borgan of Spring Valley, California and Jane Borgan of Yorba Linda, California. Patsy was blessed with five grandchildren: J. Michael (Ashley) Weiss, Karisten (Isaac) Chavez, Katelyn Borgan, Christopher Borgan and Crystal Borgan; two great-grandchildren: Harper Claire Weiss and Raelee Ann Chavez, with two more little bundles of joy expected. Several nieces and nephews as well as countless friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings: Shirley Schultz, Barbara Jones and Raymond Gasser; and a granddaughter, Crystal. Patsy was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. May she rest in peace.
