Cresco, Ia. – Services for James R. Howard, 76, who died Wednesday in a home here after a short illness, were scheduled for Friday afternoon at the Bradley Funeral Home with the Rev. George W. Turner, pastor of the Cresco Methodist Church officiating and burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery east of here.

Howard was born Jan. 19, 1873 at Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, England and came to America in 1891. He resided for a time in Canada. For 20 years he made his home with a brother, Harry, at Cresco.

Besides his brother, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. E. R. Precious, Sr. of Cresco, two sister living in England, and another in Vancouver, B. C.
