Funeral services for Mrs. L. A. Maronde, 84, of Cresco, who died June 6, in the Waterloo St. Francis hospital, were held at the Bradley Funeral home last Wednesday afternoon.

The Rev. E. C. Franke, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran church, conducted the services and burial was in Oak Lawn cemetery.

Mrs. Maronde, the former Nettie Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bauer, was born in Chickasaw county, March 22, 1882. She was baptized and confirmed in the Davis Corners Lutheran church.

On June 3, 1903, she was united in marriage to Louis A. Maronde in the home of her parents at Davis Corners. They became the parents of three children.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Roy of Rochester; and a daughter, Mrs. Viola Hansen of Waterloo; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was one son, Stanley; one sister, Abbie; and two brothers, Erwin Bauer and Edward Bauer.
