CRESCO - George Wilkie Watson III, age 43, of Cresco, Iowa passed away Oct. 13, 2015 from heart-related issues.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

George Wilkie Watson III was born to Linda Watson and George II (Skip) Watson on April 27, 1972, in California. He married Nicole Leigh on Sept. 8, 2013, and the two families joined into one.

George worked at Rockweilers Appliance and TV in Decorah for many years and was most recently self-employed.

George was a tradesman who could make, build or fix anything, including the family’s home. Family was his number one priority. He had many interests and hobbies, including working on and driving his Model T, flying model planes and boating, especially at Catalina Island.

Survivors include his wife, Nicole Watson of Cresco; his children, Cpl. Jarek Burke of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and Tayler Watson, Madison Burke, Haleigh McCalley, Trevor Watson, Megan Watson and Will Watson (George Watson IV), all of Cresco; his mother, Linda Watson of Cresco; his father, Skip Watson of California; his brother, Tony Watson of California; and his uncle, Bill Watson of California.
