DIED.

In Albion, Iowa, June 11, 1895, Gertrude A., daughter of Joseph and Emily Davis, in the 29 year of her age.

Six years ago deceased had a stroke of paralysis and has been an invalid sine{sp}. A year later she had another paralytic stroke and on the morning of the 11, came the death summons in a paralytic stroke, which terminated her life in about half an hour thereafter. Her remains were laid to rest in Oak Lawn cemetery.

Resolutions.

Gertie Davis was born September, 19, 1866, and died June 11, 1895,

Softly as the golden sun
Sinks behind the purple west,
Our darling Gertie pased{sp} away,
To sleep her long and quiet rest.
--MOTHER.

Resolutions adopted by the Darrow Ladies’ Aid Society, in memory of our beloved sister Gertie Davis.

Whereas, Our heavenly father in his wisdom has seen best to remove from our midst a beloved sister and friend whose earnest life cheerful smile and patience in her life of affliction is a worthy example for us all.

Resolved, Although she leaves a vacancy which can never be filled, we submit reverently to the Allwise ruler, knowing our loss is her gain.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the county papers and one to the bereaved family and that one shall be placed on the records of this society.
