He is Sleeping.
DIED.—At the home of his parents in Bentonville, Ark., Monday evening at 7:30, May 27, 1895, Paul Bowman, aged 4 years, 1 month and 7 days.
Jesus said to his disciples, “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my father.”
J. Paul Bowman was the son of Jno. L. and Nellie E. Bowman, who moved to our midst from Cresco, Iowa, a few months back. About a year and a half ago Paul was attacked by la grippe and since that time his health has been very poor. His death resulted from tubucular meningitis last Monday. He was a patient sufferer, and bore his afflictions like a little hero.
What can we say for one so young? Believing in the words of a blessed Savior we know that of just such little ones as this is the Kingdom of Heaven. He is there. He is free from all sorrow. He is relieved from all pain. He has joined the happy chorus of child angels that sing continually about the throne of the Great I Am. Sorrowing parents, your little son has been called to be a member of that great family that dwells in the vast beyond. God is his father and Jesus Christ his elder brother. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to you in your loss.
Funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock, conducted by Rev. S. F. Goddard. The remains were interred in Odd Fellows cemetery.—Benton County Democrat.
