Vonne Kay Witter, 68, of Elma, IA passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, IA.

Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:30 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Elma, IA with a memorial service at 11:30 AM. Burial will take place at a later date at Oronoco Cemetery in Oronoco, MN.

Vonne Kay Witter was born February 20, 1947, the daughter of Edwin and Sylvia (Haggerty) Witter in Rochester, MN. She was raised in rural Olmsted County attending District 120 and Plainview High School. On February 20, 1971 Vonne was united in marriage to John Fitch. The couple later divorced. Vonne worked day care, janitorial and in various food vending services in Rochester until moving to LeRoy, MN; then to Afton Oaks Assisted Living in Elma, IA.

Vonne enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and pets. She spent time knitting, doing word puzzles and attending activities at the Colonial Manor Care Center.

Her family would like to thank the Staff of Afton Oaks Assisted Living and Colonial Manor Care Center for the care and support that Vonne received over the past seven years.

Vonne is survived by her son, Joel Fitch of Charles City, IA and his children, Blake, Kaydence, Kiya and Angel; her siblings, Gail Goetz of Hollister, MO, Rita Ludwig of Elma, IA, Terry Witter of Medford, MN, Elwood Witter and Lanny Witter, both of Rochester, MN and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
