Robert E. Daley, age 70, of Cresco, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home.

Memorial services for Robert will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Cresco Community Chapel in Cresco, Iowa.

Robert Eldon Daley was born March 22, 1945 to Eugene and Dolores (Gossman) Daley in Winneshiek County, Iowa. He attended school until the 11th grade when he joined the United States Army. On August 26, 1988, Robert was united in marriage to Janet Agans Gunhus at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. For the majority of Robert’s life he farmed and later on in his life he was employed at Featherlite in Cresco. Robert enjoyed working on word search puzzles, reading the newspaper, especially the Times Plain Dealer, socializing and going out to eat, traveling when he was younger, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife, Janet of Cresco; daughter, Brittany Daley of Ridgeway, IA and her children, Aydn and Xavier Blaess; step sons, Shawn (Lauren) Gunhus of Pine, CO and their children Alexandra and Julian, the late Bryce Gunhus and his son, Spencer of Rochester, MN, Kim Charles Gunhus of Decorah, IA and his daughter, Kylee, and Shane (Amy) Gunhus of Sparta, MI and their children, Riley, Jared, and Hannah.

Preceding Robert in death are his parents, Eugene and Dolores and his step son, Bryce Gunhus.
