DIED.

WINBURN—In Cresco, Saturday night, September 2, 1893, about the hour of midnight, John Winburn, aged 68 years 4 months and 4 days.

Deceased was born in Sussex, England, coming to this country in 1851, living at Hudson, Ohio, until 1869, when he located in Howard county, on the farm now occupied and owned by Geo. Bartholomew. He was married February 6, 1847 to Elizabeth A. Gutsell, who survives him. Some 18 years since, owing to poor health he sold his farm to Joseph Archer, locating in Cresco where he died. Although in poor health he had been about his work quite regularly until Thursday last, when he was taken down. We believe their only relative in this country is a niece of Mr. Winburn’s, wife of Joshua Bates. Deceased was a good citizen and an honest man, whose demise is deplored by all who knew him.

Transcriber's Note: The cemetery records indicate the last name is spelled Winborn.
