Mrs. Parmelia Garnsey, mother of Chas. H. Garnsey and Mrs. I. A. Courtney, died at the residence of her son Charles, in Winnebago City, Sunday morning, April 30, of Brights disease. Mrs. G. will be rememberd{sic} as one of the early residents of Howard county for over a third of a century. Grandma Garnsey, as she was called, had the love and respect of all who knew her; she leaves one son, Charles o{sic} Winnebago City, and a daughter, Mrs. I. A. Courtney of Chester, to mourn her loss. Also a brother at New Hampton, and other relatives at {remainder of article is missing}
