Mr. Miller and family moved to Iowa in 1844, and settled at Farmersburg, where they remained some twenty-five years. Shortly after coming to this place, Mr. and Mrs. Miller were awakened to their need of Salvation. They were converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church and were active members of the same while they remained in Farmersburg. In the year 1869 they moved to Lime Springs, where they have lived since that time and and{sic{} have gained the respect and esteem of all who become acquainted with them. Mr. Miller has been in feeble health for some time, not being able to lie down in bed for about eighteen months, during which time, and for several years previous, he has been cared for by his daughter, Mrs. Hamilton, and son Silas, who have tenderly attended to all his wants.

Death came to relieve him from all his sufferings April 18. 1893. The funeral was held at M. E. church April 20. Services were conducted by the pastor, assisted by Rev. Hodges, pastor of Presbyterian church.—Lime Springs Sun.
