SLEE--In Cresco, Iowa, Feb. 13, 1892, Mr. Joseph Slee, aged 79 years.

Mr. Slee died at the residence of Mr. Augustus Beadle, which had been his home for many years. The funeral servicas{sp} were held at the home on Monday, Rev. James Oakey officiating.

Joseph Slee was born in Poughkeepsie, N. Y., in 1813, and came to Howard county in 1861, and was here at the founding of Cresco. He and Mr. Beadle were partners in the grain business in Cresco for years. He retired from business several years ago, since which time he has been living a quiet, retired life at the home of Mr. Beadle.

Mr. Slee was a well educated man, of integrity, and of good business qualifications in his prime.
