CALLED TO HEAVEN.
Little Clarence Winfield Pooler Passed Away Last Night at 8 O'clock
After an illness of ten days with scarlet fever and diphtheritic throat trouble the little son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Pooler of this city, passed peacefully away, called to join the angels, in their beautiful home on high. The bright little fellow's life hung in the balance for several days, and only his strong constitution, and the best medical attendance and nursing kept him alive so long. He has gone to his rest, and his sufferings are over.
Clarence Winfield Pooler was born June 25, 1885, and would have been just six years and five months old today. He was an unusually bright and affectionate little fellow, and was loved by the members of his family, by his playmates and everyone. His death casts a gloom over the household, but they know he has gone to a better land, where there is no suffering.
A short funeral sevice{sp} was held at the house at 3 p.m. to-day, and the remains laid away in Oakwood.--Austin Daily Herald, Nov. 25.
