A telegram received here states that Walter Schofield with his wife and children, started from their home in Oregon on the 16th of July for St. Paul, and that on the day following at 2 oclock p.m., he died. He was buried at Orting, Washington, the next day. It will be a lonesome, sad journey for Mrs. Schofield and the children. The particulars have not reached his friends here, only as above given.
