DIED.

McCoy.--In Cresco, Iowa, of Peretonitas, Ida D. McCoy, wife of John M. McCoy, aged 51 years.

Deceased was born at New Lisbon, N. H., coming to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, with her parents in 1857; was married to John M. McCoy in September 1860, and lived there and in vicinity until they came to Cresco in 1876.

Her remains were taken to the home of her parents who are living at Beaver Dam, Wis., the funeral having been held in the old Church which she and Mrs. McCoy used to attend in their younger days, and which was filled to its utmost capacity by old time friends and acquaintances of Mr. McCoy and his deceased companion. Her remains were laid to rest in Oak Wood Cemetery, at Beaver Dam, one of the most beautiful homes for the dead in the West. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dexter and five children, two brothers and three sisters survive her.

Mrs. McCoy was one of the best of women, alive to the welfare and good, not only of her personal friends, but of mankind. Her life was one of devotion to the welfare of humanity, hence it is proper that humanity mourn her untimely death.
