Three Boys Drowned.

Ray, Brown, son of Lyman Brown, aged about 7, and Pearl and Willie Vaughn, aged about 7 and 9 years, were drowned one day last week, in the town of York, Minn., while in bathing. The boys it seems were at school and the teacher overheard them planning to go in bathing and she forbid their going and ordered them to go directly home. Instead of doing so they went to the stream and a pond near by formed by the recent heavy rains, the three stripped and going in, when two of the lads got beyond their depth, and being unable to swim went down, the larger of the Vaughn boys came out, put on his shirt and directed a boy with them who did not go in, to run for help, which he did, getting a man about 30 rods from where the drowning occurred. The boys were found in about 6 feet of water, the one which had come out and directed calling for help, probably returned to rescue his companions and lost his life in the attempt.
