Ann M. Ellingson, age 90, of Plattsmouth, NE, formerly of Cresco, IA passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Hillcrest Health Services in Bellevue, NE.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at First Lutheran Church in Cresco, Iowa. Burial will take place in Saude Lutheran Cemetery Saude, IA. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home, 404 North Elm Street, Cresco, IA, visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Anna M. Carolan was born on August 28, 1924, daughter of Francis and Alice (Whalan) Carolan in Lawler, Iowa. Ann graduated from New Hampton High School and attended Upper Iowa Teachers College. On December 26, 1945, she married Charles Ellingson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa. The couple moved to Charles’ grandparent’s farm making it their home until they retired and moved to Cresco in 1979. Ann relocated to Omaha, NE on Labor Day weekend 2008.

Ann is survived by her children, Carmen (Dorothy) Ellingson of Orlando, FL, Cathy (Paul) Olson of Omaha, NE, Connie (Ron) Vogel of St. Louis, MO, Cynthia (Randy) Murray of Raleigh, NC, Cheryl (Brett) Johnson of Kansas City, MO, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and her brother Paul Carolan of Bullhead City, AZ.

Preceding Ann in death was her husband Charles in May 1994, parents, brothers Jim, Gene, Robert, Charles, and Francis, and her sister Bernadette Nosbisch.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Saude Lutheran Cemetery Fund 2940 Stevens Trail Lawler, IA 52154.
