OBITUARY.

DIED, in Albion, Howard county, Ia. Oct, 3, 1889, Samantha, wife of Oliver Arnold, aged 76 years.

The deceased was a native of Vermont, but nearly half of her long and useful life has been spent in Howard county.

In Sept. 1854, with her husband who survives her, she settled upon the farm where she died, near the village of Florenceville, and where she had ever since resided. For thirty-five years has she been a wife and a mother to those who are left to mourn her departure across the fathomless river which separates the real from the ideal world. A good wife and a dutiful mother has laid down her weary load of years.
