Found Dead in the Woods.

JACKSON, Minn., May 29.--Geo. C. Hill, a well known citizen and a prominent leader of the Prohibition party of Jackson county, left home early this morning, and, not returning at the usual time, search was made for him, when his body was found in the woods, where he had committed suicide during a temporary fit of insanity. He leaves a family. The deceased was formerly a classmate of ex-Secretary Vilas.

The deceased was a brother of Fred Hill of Lime Springs, and lived in that place from '75 to '78. He was an exemplary, scholarly, Christian gentleman.

G. C. Chamberlain, ex-editor of the Jackson Republic, writes: "George Hill was a man of good qualities of mind and heart. His thoughts and words were pure and elevating. In the church and Sabbath school he was active and earnest."

The fullest sympathy is extended to the brother and all the relatives.
