DIED--Monday, February 11th, '89, at Almeria, Neb., of paralysis of the brain, Dr. C. E. Bowers, aged 48 years and three months.

Dr. Bowers will be remembered as a former resident of Cresco and a practicing physician here. Owing to ill health and other adversities the Doctor left his widow and children without much means for their support. Mrs. Bowers was a daughter of Mr. Lorimer of Dubuque, and having the advantages of an excellent education, were her health sufficient, could battle with the vicissitudes of the world for herself and her interesting little daughters successfully.
