OBITUARY.

FREEMIRE.--Died August 13, 1888, at his farm residence in Preston township, this county, Nicholas Freemire, aged 74 years.

Mr. Freemire was born in Schoharie county, N. Y., June 2, 1814, removed to Fillmore county, Minn., in the spring of 1856, and purchased the home where he has since lived and died, respected by a large circle of neighbors and friends. A wife and two sons survive him, Dr. F. Freemire of Chester, Iowa, and C. G. Freemire who resides upon the old homestead. The remains were entembed{sp} in Waukokee cemetery. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Christ of Spring Valley.--{National Republican.
