Mrs. Mary Summers, the mother of Mrs. Sarah Moore residing in town and of Mrs. Susie Moore, residing about five miles southwest of Cresco, died at the residence of P. Fravel, where she was visiting, on Friday Aug., 5th, 1887.

The deceased was born in Vermont in the memorable year of 1812, her maiden name was Mary Morton. She was married in 1835 to John Sturtevant; was married again in 1852, to Benjamin Summers, who preceded her in death about twenty years, since which time she has lived with her daughters.

She was converted at the early age of 17 and some time after united with the Baptist church at Plattsburg, Vt. And has since that time been a consistent member of the faith.

Four daughters, one son and many friends remain to mourn their loss which we believe to be her gain. C.
