Mr. Loren Witt, one of the settlers of New Oregon in this county in 1855 passed away on Sunday February 6th 1887 at the advanced age of seventy-four years. He has been in feble{sp} health for several years, was in humble circumstances always since we have known him, leaves a widow, also advanced in years, but no other family, friends or relatives that we know of.
