Suicide in Albion.

Last Sunday the family of Mr. Frank DeWalle were called upon to mourn the untimely taking off of Mr. Chas. DeWalle, aged about 65 years. A few years ago, Frank had sent money for his parents to come over to this country. The mother was taken sick and died some time since. The father had been unwell and was somewhat despondent at times. Last Sunday he appeared in usual health, and cheerful and was left at home on the Madison Taft place with his grand children, the oldest at home being about 9 years of age. The old gentleman went to the barn, the children soon followed, and calling to him and getting no answer went into the barn to find him suspended by the neck. Instead of calling help from near by or cutting him down, they went for their parents one mile away, who came with all possible expedition. Of course life had long been extinct. The coroner was summoned and a jury empannelled, which after hearing the facts returned the following verdict:

STATE OF IOWA HOWARD CO. ss.

In testimony where of the said jurors have hereunto set their hands the day and year aforesaid.
