DIED.

BALLARD.--At Akron, Nebraska, at the home of her parents, June 10th 1885, Nellie I., wife of Sam C. Ballard, and daughter of Dr. Jas. Russell, aged about 27 years.

The deceased a few short weeks before left Cresco with her children and her mother, in hopes of obtaining relief from the dryer atmosphere of Nebraska from her lung difficulties. On Monday evening of last week, as stated in the PLAIN DEALER of last week, Mr. Russell telegraphed Sam that Nellie was failing fast and that evening he took the train, arriving a few hours after her death. Nellie was a noble, true woman, and leaves two young children to mourn the loss of a tender loving mother and a husband to grieve the loss of a dutiful wife and mother.
