DIED.

GIBBONS.--At the residence of James Hall, Esq., at Busti, Iowa, May 2, 1884, Mrs. Marguerite Gibbons, aged 86 years and 3 days.

The deceased was born in New York City, April 29th 1798, and raised to womanhood and married and raised her children there. She was a woman of more than ordinary intelligence and culture, a perfect lady possessed of a retentive memory and excellent conversational powers. Many years ago she burried{sp} her husband and has been making her home in this county for a quarter of century with her children, Thomas J. Gibbons of Saratoga, and Mrs. Maggie Hall of Busti, Iowa. Her maiden name was Bennie. She was married to Thos. F. Gibbons in 1823, who died in 1853. Five children were born to them, only two of whom are living. Mrs. Gibbons was educated in Presbyterian faith and remained true to its teaching to the last. N. Y. Observer please copy.
