DIED.

GREENHALGH.--In this city, on the 22d, ult., of asthma, Wm. Greenhalgh, aged 75 years, 9 months and 24 days.

Mr. Greenhalgh was born in Bolton, Lancashire, England, April 28, 1806; was married near the same place to Elizabeth Pilling in 1826; came to America about 1840, and settled in Rockford, Del., near Wilmington. He came west in 1855 and settled on a farm in Orleans township, Winneshiek county, near this place. He removed to town about five years ago, leaving the farm to one of his sons. Mr. and Mrs. Greenhalgh have had twelve children, six of whom, three sons and three daughters, are still living They were brought up in the Church of England; and at the time of his death Mr. Greenhalgh was Senior Warden of Grace Church in this place. He was a devoted Christian, a man of sterling integrity an highly esteemed by all that knew him.
