Rose Bouska, 97, of Cresco, IA passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, IA. Rose, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Hosek, was born on September 1, 1916 in Howard County, Iowa. She attended rural schools near her home through the 8th grade. As with many young people of this era, she stayed at home and helped on the farm. Rose married Arthur Bouska on November 11, 1936, at the Holy Cross Church in Schley, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born: Loraine and Celeste. Rose continued to work hard and was in her home until her health started to fail. She moved into the Cresco Care Center in January 2014. Rose enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. Time spent with her grandchildren was very special to her. She is survived by her two daughters; Loraine (Wilmer) Hubka and Celeste Trachta, both of Cresco, Iowa, and two grandsons; Vern Trachta of Cresco, Iowa, and Rod (Annnette) Trachta of Winona, MN. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, a brother and sister-in-law William and Martha Hosek, and a son-in-law, Ray Trachta.

Visitation:
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, Iowa where there will be a rosary following. Friends may also call one hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, Iowa.

Cemetery:
Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Schley, Iowa
