Bill was born on July 12, 1927 at Northwood, Iowa to Walter Lester and Margaret (Aulwes) Moser. Bill served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953 including basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and was deployed to Frankfurt, Germany. Bill was a life-long farmer who farmed a Century Farm in Howard County, Iowa. He was a long time member of Saetersdal Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion Post 545. He married Elaine Ruth Johnson on May 4, 1951. Bill is survived by his wife, Elaine of Lime Springs; a daughter, Peggy (Drew) Flathmann of North Oaks, Minnesota; a son John Moser of Lime Springs; a granddaughter, Lisa (Eric) Mahr, a grandson Reed (Erin) Flathmann; 3 great-granddaughters: Alli, Audrey, Avery Mahr; his siblings: Dean "Bud" (Shirley) Moser, Marjorie "Motsy" Mohlis, and Louise "Snookie" Meyer; Elaine’s sisters: Kathleen (Kenny) Rigdon, LaVonne (Stan) Biel, Bev (Bob) Warnke and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Ruth Moser, Bob (Marcie) Moser, Phyllis (Harold "Hoop") Steinmetz, Jeff Moser; and a brother-in-law, Paul Mohlis. Memorials may be directed to Howard County Cancer (HOCA), Howard County Community Hospice or the Saetersdal Cemetery.

Visitation:
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Saetersdal Lutheran Church, 21477 County 30, Harmony.

Service:
6:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Saetersdal Lutheran Church.
