Mrs. H. O. Braham Funeral Services In Cresco Monday
A brief family service was held in the Larson Funeral home, in Cresco, Monday afternoon for Mrs. Henry O. Braham, 67, who died in her home in Cresco Thursday following a lingering illness.
Following the family service, services were held in the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Carsten Smeby in charge. Burial was in Oak Lawn cemetery,Cresco.
Mrs. Braham, the former Christine O. Basteson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Basteson, was born in Howard county, near Lourdes, August 10, 1889.
She attended the rural schools of Howard county and was graduated from Waldorf college, in Forest City, with the class of 1908.She later taught in various Howard county schools.
She was united in marriage to Henry O. Braham June 24, 1914. During the early part of their married life, Mr. and Mrs. Braham lived in Rudd, later moving to Mason City, where Mrs. Braham was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran church. In the fall of 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Braham moved to Cresco, and their church membership was transferred to the First Lutheran church.
Surviving Mrs. Braham are her husband, Henry O., and one son, Paul A. Braham of Cresco. There are also three granddaughters, Kristine Ann, Ruth Elaine and Janice Marie, besides one brother, Andrew Basteson of New Hampton, and three sisters, Mrs. Ann Roberson of New Hampton, Mrs. Chris Hereid of Lawler, and Mrs. Martin Hoffland of Cresco.
Preceding Mrs. Braham in death were her parents and two brothers, Albert and Bennie.
