HELD TUESDAY FOR
DONALD FAIRCHILD

Funeral services for Donald Augustus Fairchild, 69, were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 1975, at the United Methodist Church in Riceville, Iowa, with Rev. R. Oehring officiating. Mr. Fairchild passed away at his home on Saturday, September 13, 1975 from an apparent heart attack.

Donald Augustus Fairchild was born October 11, 1905 in Vermillion County, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Galen G. Fairchild. He came to the Lime Springs-Saratoga area in 1929 and was engaged in farming.

On February 18, 1932, he was married to Dorothy Miller, in the Little Brown Church at Nashua. To this union, three children were born: Merton, Miss Donna Mae Fairchild and Gail Ann, an infant daughter who died at birth.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Merton; one daughter, Donna Mae; two brothers, Glen and Jared; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Guy.

Interment was in Howard Cemetery, Elma, Iowa.
