Elmer Blomgren,80, Services Held Sunday

Funeral services for Elmer Odeleus Blomgren,80, were held Sunday at the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Wasta officiating. Burial was in the Oak Lawn cemetery.

Mr. Blomgren was born March 4, 1894, at Bluffton to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Blomgren. He was married to Ida Herrmann on Feb. 26, 1913, at Cresco by the Rev. John Pless. Mr. and Mrs. Blomgren spent most of their lives farming in the Cresco and Lime Springs area. They retired from the farm and moved to Cresco in 1955.

Mr. Blomgren was preceded in death by his wife, who died on July 8, 1973, his parents, five brothers and one grandson.

He is survived by three sons, Harold and Lyle, both of Cresco, Marvin of Lime Springs, four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Hart of Lime Springs, Mrs. Gasper (Lillian) Bujan of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Fredrick Schmauss of Lime Springs, Mrs. Manford Pederson of Canton, Minn., 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Henry of Mukwonago, Wisc., Ray of Decorah, Oscar of Ridgeway, Albert of Winnebago, Minn., three sisters, Mrs. Hannah Amundson of Cresco, Mrs. Esther Ferrie of Cresco, and Mrs. Minnie Phillips of Buffalo, Texas.
