Eide, Frieda Bertha (Lamfers) Hetrick 1919 - 2014

Frieda Bertha Eide was born on October 31, 1919 to Ralph and Essie (Stubbe) Lamfers near George in Lyon County, Iowa. She attended the rural schools in Wheeler Township through the 8th grade, then one year of high school in George. She was needed on the farm so was unable to finish high school. Frieda was joined in marriage to Albert Hetrick on March 20, 1940 at the home of Frieda’s parents. Albert passed away Feb. 13, 1947. She married Gordon Eide on January 28, 1955. She and Gordon moved to their farm in rural Riceville after their marriage. Until then, Frieda sold Stanley Home Products. She was a member of Saratoga Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: son, Merlynn “Hank” (Marolyn) Hetrick of Roxton, Texas, daughter Ruth Eileen (Roy) Watts of Readlyn, Iowa; 7 Grandchildren: Brenda Lynn (John) Fager, Brian Keith (Lisa) Hetrick, Lee Ann (Dean) Hein, Kelly Hetrick (Cecil) Williamson, Tom (Nancy) Hetrick, Daniel Roy (Vicky) Watts, Dawn Ranae (John) Lyon, and 17 Great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-gramdchildren, one brother Elvin Lamfers of Sun City, Arizona, and a sister Anna DeJong of Rock Rapids, Iowa. Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert in 1947, a son Larry in 1985, her second husband Gordon in 1990, a brother Raymond and a sister Bernice Becker.

Visitation:
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Lindstom Funeral Home in Riceville and for an hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
11:00 am on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Saratoga Presbyterian Church in Saratoga, Iowa.

Cemetery:
in Saratoga Cemetery, Saratoga, Iowa.
