DIED.

REILLY.--In Afton, Howard county, Iowa Jan. 29, 1879, of consumption, Miss Ellen Reilly, daughter of Patrick and Ellen Reilly, in the 25 year of her age.

I am dying, mother dying,
Dearest mother do not weep;
For I soon shall be lying,
In death's cold and peaceful sleep.

Oh! dear mother you've watched o'er me,
And you've soothed my aching heart;
But fond mother I implore thee,
Do not weep for we must part.

Oh! kind mother oft did I grieve thee,
And caused thee much care and pain;
But kind parents Oh! believe me,
I shall not grieve thee again.

For my sweet and loving Savior,
Hath called me from earth away;
To account for my behavior,
In this world's dark sinful way.
