Louise Bateman,95,services Monday

Funeral services for Louise Bateman,95, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 in the Assumption Catholic Church in Cresco with the Rev. John J. Friederick officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements were with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home.

She died at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo on February 3, 1989.

Louise was born June 12, 1893 in Howard County to Bruno and Prudence (Muir) Herplinck. She married Stanley Bateman and they were the parents of two sons. Louise lived in this area until she moved to be near her son in Waterloo a year and a half ago. Louise was a long time member of the VFW Auxiliary in Cresco.

She is survived by her sons; Gerald of Waterloo and Lyle of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1970; 10 brothers and sisters.
