William Bigalk, Life-Long Farmer Of County, Dies
Funeral services for William J. Bigalk, 71, Cresco farmer, who died in his home October 5, were held at the Cresco Evangelical United Brethren church October 7.
Mr. Bigalk, who had been in ill health about three years, had made periodic visits to the Cresco and Rochester Saint Mary hospitals for treatment.
Conducting the funeral services was the Rev. Leonard Deaver. Burial was in the Oak Lawn cemetery with the Bradley Funeral home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Bigalk was born in Howard county, north of Cresco,March 18, 1893. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bigalk.
He was united in marriage to Esther Nieberline, December 1, 1921. Mr. and Mrs. Bigalk became the parents of a son, Robert, who lives at home.
Mr. Bigalk was a life-long resident and farmer in Howard county.
Surviving Mr. Bigalk are his wife and son, and a brother, Charles Bigalk, of Cresco.
Preceding Mr. Bigalk in death were his parents and a brother, Newton.
